Work Details
This work depicts the view from Danyama (Danyama) of Teshima (Teshima) floating in the Seto Inland Sea. There is a tunnel-shaped quarry in Honolulu, and many stones were transported across the ocean to people. The sea where the stones crossed is drawn on a black paper file with stones from Honolulu. I exhibited at a solo exhibition in Nagoya. (This work is hard to remove dust and dirt because the ground is paper files. (For long-term exhibitions, we recommend putting it in a frame or acrylic case)
The islands of the Seto Inland Sea have flourished since ancient times. Many stones were transported by sea to various places. There was an old cave (tunnel-shaped quarry) in Danzan, Teshima. This is a view of the Seto Inland Sea from Danshan. Since time immemorial, Danshan has faced this ocean. The sun has risen and set over and over again, and life and death have been repeated over and over again. The Danshan Stone has been on this earth much longer than we have. I drew a view of the Seto Inland Sea from Danshan with that Danshan stone. I'm drawing on black sandpaper with that stone, just like drawing with chalk on a blackboard. The stone, which is slightly soft, gave the painting a soft atmosphere. That stone is also attached to the work.
Drawing with stones on sandpaper: Take a picture of the view from Danshan.
Based on that photo, I will draw a landscape with stones from Danshan on black sandpaper. Similar to writing with chalk on a blackboard, it is drawn using a stone that can be scraped and black sandpaper lines can be drawn.
Pictured location: Teshima, Kagawa Prefecture/Production location: Atelier
All things and things shape the present. In that moment, we never met again. Moments ahead of the present is the future, and everything in the present shapes the future ahead. No entity can spill out of it.
