Concept and Intention of the Artwork

The landscape seen from the small piece of wood attached to the work is drawn on paper file with that piece of wood. What was the process of growing up as a tree, getting smaller, and flowing in? I think there are dramas that have reached the present, no matter how trivial. A new future will be spun out due to everyday involvement, even in trivial matters.
(This work is hard to remove dust and dirt because the ground is paper files. (Framing is required for long-term exhibitions)

What You Want to Express Through the artwork

This is a view from the point of view of a piece of wood. Fragments of it will also be attached to the work. I'm drawing on sandpaper with that piece of wood, just like drawing with chalk on a blackboard. The pieces of wood literally turn themselves into powder, depicting the world around me in my own colors and from my point of view. That point of view and that moment of the surroundings are unique. This piece of wood seems worthless to us. But that value standard is only for use. We too are part of nature, but we tend to forget that.

Production Methods and Tools

Draw with wood chips on sandpaper: Capture a picture of a landscape from the point of view of a piece of wood.
Based on that picture, I will draw a landscape with that piece of wood on sandpaper. Similar to writing with chalk on a blackboard, it is drawn using a piece of wood that can be scraped and a line can be drawn on sandpaper.

Production Location

Depicted location: Toba City, Mie Prefecture/ Production Location: Atelier Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture

Thoughts on the Artwork and Title

All things and things shape the present. In that moment, we never met again. Moments ahead of the present is the future, and everything in the present shapes the future ahead. No entity can spill out of it.
