Framed image box-shaped picture frame with acrylic glass

Concept and Intention of the Artwork

This work was the starting point for a series of drawing with objects on sandpaper. This is a charcoal drawing on paper with wood that was incinerated on the beach and turned into charcoal. Although it has been disposed of as garbage, I thought it might be useful for some purpose, so I drew a picture with that charcoal. It depicts a landscape seen from the point of view of charcoal. The charcoal used for drawing was also framed along with the work.

It wasn't charcoal for painting, so it was a very difficult work to draw. Charcoal paper for charcoal drawing is paper with a rough surface like sandpaper. I thought I could draw on any material with sandpaper, so I started using sandpaper in my next work.

What You Want to Express Through the artwork

This is the view from charcoal. That charcoal will also be attached to the work. It's drawn on paper with that charcoal. Burnt pieces of wood are turned into powder, and I paint the world around me in my own colors from my point of view. That point of view and that moment of the surroundings are unique.
What they think is worthless is different for each person. The natural world easily surpasses the values of the human world. We are part of nature, but we tend to forget that.

Thoughts on the Artwork and Title

All things and things shape the present. In that moment, we never met again. Moments ahead of the present is the future, and everything in the present shapes the future ahead. No entity can spill out of it.
