Work Details
The materials for the work are acrylic gouache and canvas. It's not framed, but the sides are painted with acrylic gouache. The signature is written on the back.
I drew a path I always go through. It was hot this summer, so I drew it because I wanted to express that feeling of midsummer. I think the color of the sunlight changes when painting in midsummer. I think it would be nice if it conveyed the feeling of hot but full of light in midsummer, like on the way home from the pool.
As for my obsession, I select colors in search of essential expression by nurturing the object to be drawn, actually going to see it, and making sketches over and over. I want the truth of the world I see and the objects I draw to be expressed on the screen through observation.
