ミケランジェロの遺作「ロンダニーニのピエタ」のスタイルをもとに制作された彫刻作品。寄り添うマリアとキリストの構図はそのままに安井の作品の特徴である石膏と綿布でフォームをつくり、ハイアートとしての彫刻の代表的素材の「石」の重力から主題を解放し、あえて現代的な脆さやキッチュを表象化している挑戦的な作品。

1993 Born in Aichi, Japan 2018 Bachelor’s degree at Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Sculpture, I have been creating sculptures modeled mainly in plaster (gips) and mural paintings on the surface of seawalls constructed after the Great East Japan Earthquake.Since 2020, I have also launched, managed, and produced murals for the “Seawall Museum Project” in Ogatsu-cho, Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture.
