Work Details

In my case, the rationale for production is that I want to visualize Grove. Also, groove is personal.

In my case, ideas always pop up in my head as scenes. My work is to faithfully reproduce that scene while solving formative problems. Since I was a kid, I've been playing with dark brown clay used by adults every day as a toy, and I remember that my palm was always bright yellow with oil soaked in. I started sculpting in 1981, but until now, I have never experienced losing anything I wanted to make. It probably means that production is a part of my life that is too everyday and natural for me. That kind of life will continue from now on. 1992 Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Sculpture, 1994 2011 Japan-Korea Friendship Art Exhibition: Hundred Flowers Rebellion (Korean Cultural Center, Tokyo) 2013 30th FUKUI Sam Hall Art Exhibition (30th Exhibition Commemorative Award, Fukui Prefecture) 2013 25th UBE Biennale (Shimane Prefectural Iwami Art Museum Award/Greenery, Flower, and Sculpture Museum Award, Yamaguchi Prefecture) 2016, but I'm crazy about it!
