Work Details
I am fascinated by images of things that have been created (fiction), and I am creating them. The expression of being able to trace the conflicting perspectives of “imitating/revealing” from one work makes me feel a different kind of reality where “there is no such thing, but it itself exists.”
In this series, I create paintings that sample game-like landscapes and spaces. Although it is created as an “fictional landscape modeled after a real landscape,” we construct visuals that allow everyone to share a sense of deja vu and reality that they have experienced once.

I am interested in the reality contained in images generated as “fiction,” and I am creating it. Traditional and conventional topics are presented as a collage-like screen with expressions drawn by hand as if an existing photograph had been attached. I'm trying to explore a different kind of realistic existence that appears between “imitating” and “revealing” a painting image.
