私たちが思い浮かべる風景の多くは、実際の場所というよりも、絵画、写真、観光イメージ、ゲームなどを通して共有されたものによって形づくられています。
私はそのようなイメージを、無縁の断片を切り抜いて配置し、すべて手描きすることで風景のような絵画として再構成しています。
このシリーズでは盆栽の樹形をモチーフに、切り抜かれたイメージを重ね合わせることで、レリーフ状の画面を構築しています。

I am interested in the reality contained in images generated as “fiction,” and I am creating it. Traditional and conventional topics are presented as a collage-like screen with expressions drawn by hand as if an existing photograph had been attached. I'm trying to explore a different kind of realistic existence that appears between “imitating” and “revealing” a painting image.
