楊博は、主に映画や音楽に代表されるポップカルチャーとその受容に関わる距離感をテーマに作品を制作。
実際にはとても遠くに存在する人物や出来事にも関わらず、心理的には極めて親密なものとして迫りくるそれらの肖像と、自身の生活風景を織り交ぜた独特の作品世界を構築している。
