Work Details
街を歩いているときに様々な家にある庭木は その家々で特徴があるのだが、 それらの特徴とその家の特徴は必ずしも結びつかない。 その家の庭木を思い出すことはあっても その家の建物や主人は思い出せなかったり、またその逆も。 自分たちの記憶は表に見えるものと 裏に在るものを同時に捉えることはできない。 やがてどちらかが強くなり、記憶は捻じ曲がっていく。

I create and present works on the theme of “Memories of the Land.” The “work that lifts the ground,” which is the main work, encourages people to think again about memories and events that lie dormant in that place by superimposing memories of that place on the strata accumulated there and showing those things that cannot normally be seen. When creating a work, I value local interviews and sort out my memories of that place by listening to various stories.
