She is currently creating works based on her "animism" at her atelier in Kamakura Japan. A city with history is a culture that believes in things that cannot be seen with the naked eye. The other day I asked the gardener to move a stone from my old folk house. He was afraid of the god that resided in the stone, asking, ``Is this stone safe to move?''
