Japanese mineral pigment painter
Jalyn Tokie. Born in 2000 in the state of Maryland U.S. Graduated from Musashino art university majoring in Japanese painting. Was in a U.S. military camp in Japan during elementary school, and later moved to the state of Alabama during middle and high school.
As a biracial artist, I always think about how I can express my identity through my work.

Jalyn Tokie
• 2000 Born in the United States of America
• 2024 Graduated from Musashino art university with a bachelor degree of Japanese painting
• 2025 currently enrolled in the master’s program at the same school
• 2019 YAM&VAA 2019 District V Honorary mention award
• 2024 2023 Musashino art university graduation exhibition Japanese painting department award
• 2024 59th Kanagawa prefecture art exhibition selected
• 2024 FACE2025 Judge’s award (Tetsuya Oshima)
