Work Details
The long-standing series “Le Radici Del Cielo -The Roots of Heaven-” is a work. It is also a 2-piece set, but these are 2 independent works.
The sky that surrounds us 360 degrees, and the earth that controls us. We have continued to research the relationship between Japan and Western Europe. The intention was to explore the “gap” between heaven and earth and provide a relative perspective.
Woodblock printing on transparent silk. The front and back images of silk overlap, and a thread runs through the cavity between them, giving a different impression depending on the viewing angle. イタリアと日本を拠点に制作発表を続ける。人類学と美術の両領域を背景に、文化や世代によって揺れ動く“ものの見方”や”身体性”、それに伴う”境界の在り方”を探りながら、絵画・版画・インスタレーションを横断する制作を行う。とくに絹布と木版技法を組み合わせ、半透明の空間性や光の変化を取り入れながら、場・時間・鑑賞者のあいだに生まれる関係性を可視化する表現を展開している。
