Work Details
My mother was a midwife.
I'm embroidering mending (repairs) onto photographs of my mother, a midwife.
The reason I frame each photograph is inspired by the "image of the relationship between women's poverty and the number of windows" that appears at the beginning of Hiromi Kawakami's book, Summer Story, about antinatalism. I've framed the photographs in various ways, representing the frames as windows.

1990年大阪の堺出身、京都精華大学芸術学部洋画コース卒業。
京都と大阪を拠点に制作活動を行っている。ドローイング、衣服、写真、映像を使って日々の意識と無意識の間にある形を追うように制作をする。大学卒業後、複数のアーティストインレジデンスプログラムに参加。近年は、亡くなった母親が助産師であったこと、女性に課せられる「母性」、自分自身と社会の関係や、自身のトラウマティックな記憶と現実を交差させるように作品作りをしている。映像作品写真を通じて制作をしている。近年のグループ展に、歩の流れ-Corm Part1, galerie16,京都(2024)/Fairy Fountain, Haus der Statistik, ベルリン(2023)/ Score, Kunstkraftwerk Leipzig, ライプツィヒ(2021) がある。
