HOPE Type 11
This is a work from the “TYPE” series.
The word "HOPE" is created by assembling the Chinese characters for "望."
Each one is printed by hand, so the color and density of the characters vary.
“TYPE” series
· A work in which one kanji is collected and printed on multiple acrylic plates with the meaning of that kanji into another word (example: love → love, hope → hope).
・Since each one is printed by hand, the color and density of the characters vary.
・One kanji expresses “individuality” that differs from person to person by changing the typeface and expression (color, degree of printing).
・The meaning of one kanji and words formed by putting them together is universal, but I would like to convey that each person has ten colors of consciousness, and there is a reality that is not bound by one value.
・By layering acrylic plates, depth is created, and a deeper sense of individual consciousness is expressed.

Artist
武蔵野美術大学短期大学部を卒業後、Web業界で働きながら作家活動をスタートさせる。
主に、東京のギャラリーにて作品を発表しているが、ニューヨーク(2014年、2017年、2019年)、ロンドン(2019年)、ミラノ(2020年)やニューヨークで開催されているアートフェア「Affordable Art Fair」(2014年)の参加経験がある。
作品は「集合」をテーマにしており、近年では1つの漢字を集合させて、その漢字の意味をもつ他の言葉(例:愛→LOVE、望→HOPE)にしたものを、複数枚のアクリルの板にプリントした作品。「TYPE」シリーズに取り組んでいる。
「TYPE」シリーズ
・1つの漢字を集合させて、その漢字の意味をもつ他の言葉(例:愛→LOVE、望→HOPE)にしたものを、複数枚のアクリルの板にプリントした作品。
・1つの漢字、それを集合させたことによってできる言葉の意味は普遍的であるが、個々の意識は十人十色であり、一つの価値に縛られていない現実があること伝えたいと考えている。
・アクリルの板を重ねることで奥行きを生み出し、より深い個々の意識を表現している。
