Work Details
2年前、北京のアーティスト孫遜が大宜味村立旧塩屋小学校家庭科室で作り上げた小子居酒屋。そこでスタッフとして参加した後、私は北京へ留学し、彼のスタジオに滞在、制作をおこなった。しかしコロナウイルスの為、私は日本に戻ることを余儀なくされた。今回の展示では2年前と同じ家庭科室を舞台に、北京から帰国後制作した作品を展示する。宇治の興聖寺に約２ヶ月滞在し描いた「兴城から遠く離れて」、その後東京の実家にて両親と共同制作した「家族の時間」、京都の清水焼きの釜で制作した立体作品、そして孫遜と共に制作する新作「居酒屋虎狼狸図」、大きく分けて4部で構成。会場、作品を通して2年前の居酒屋の余韻も感じつつ、帰国後の私自身をたどる展示となる。コロナが早期収束し、また一緒にお酒を呑めますように。

Born in Kanagawa in 1993. Graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design Graduate School of Painting. After studying in Beijing, he has been active mainly in Kyoto. Since 2021, he has also been active as a unit “Thumb Princess” with food stall researcher Takanori Shimodera. While using the context and technical materials of Japanese painting, he creates works focusing on history where disasters invisible to people and forces that cannot be resisted have always been regarded as something black. After completing the Kyoto University of Art Graduate School painting department in 2019, he went to Beijing to study abroad. Currently, he lives in Komyoin Temple, the tower of Tofuku-ji Temple, and is engaged in production activities.
