NIWA Yuta
painter
Born in Kanagawa in 1993. Graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design Graduate School of Painting. After studying in Beijing, he has been active mainly in Kyoto. Since 2021, he has also been active as a unit “Thumb Princess” with food stall researcher Takanori Shimodera.

Profile
Biography
While using the context and technical materials of Japanese painting, he creates works focusing on history where disasters invisible to people and forces that cannot be resisted have always been regarded as something black. After completing the Kyoto University of Art Graduate School painting department in 2019, he went to Beijing to study abroad. Currently, he lives in Komyoin Temple, the tower of Tofuku-ji Temple, and is engaged in production activities.
