Work Details
A keyaki board used in the floorboards of old houses.
Tree rings are layered over a long period of time
It was already engraved in this tree.
The outline of the board also looks like a dragon's head.
Instead of emphasizing that shape,
The flow was drawn inside to follow the outline.
Rather than saying that dragons were drawn,
The shape that was originally there
It's close to the feeling that appears on the surface.
Tree rings are a record of time,
At the same time, it is also a boundary that separates the inside from the outside.
Inside, a trend with the motif of a gateway to success was born.
This work was exhibited at the temple.
Time to have a place,
The time the tree has been wrapped up overlaps,
Only the outline stood up quietly.

Artist
Kemono Painter (kemono graphy)
There are mysterious powers in nature. They seem to be visible and invisible, and their existence is unstable, and I feel them and visualize them through my work
I'm trying it out.
The theme of my work is the world of nature, mythology, and the invisible senses.
Patterns and colors that emerge when looking at living things from a unique viewpoint — these are named “kemonography (chemography)” and recorded.
Produced at the atelier and gallery “Kemono” in Senmaya, Iwate Prefecture.
Through exhibitions and exhibiting at events, I depict the harmony between fantasy and reality.
