Work Details
日本画を下地にした江戸時代の東京・麹町の様子が描かれている映像作品。３D空間を持つリアルタイムグラフィックスで画面を構築され、同じシーンが二度表れないように設計されており、人々が賑やかに町を往来する様子は、AIによってまるで一人ひとりに意思があるかのように見える。
細部についても、日本画ならではの金箔の貼り込みや中景・遠景の描き方を残しつつ、そこにテクノロジーである３Dを加えることで、絵画的表現のなかに奥行きを生んでいる。また、微妙にレイヤーを揺らしたり映像をボケさせることで、まるで望遠鏡で町を覗いているような感覚になる。２Dと３D、日本画とテクノロジーを融合させた作品である。

Since it was founded in 2004 as a team that produces 3DCG images and video games, they have utilized their know-how to create art and prototype new businesses while focusing on the entertainment field.
In recent years, he has created digital art along with video and game production, and participated in overseas exhibitions. The work was introduced at the “Japan-Africa Forum” hosted by the Japanese government and the NHK “Sunday Art Scene”. Since 2016, they will explore the possibility that art and technology intersect, such as carrying out joint projects every year in an internship program with Stanford University.
