Chihiro Honda

At the core of my practice lies the idea of the “island.” An island appears as an isolated landform, yet also as a utopia, a symbol, or an imagined metaphor. Its meaning is never fixed but shifts according to perception. I want to leave this ambiguity, and the boundaries that emerge within it, to the imagination of the viewer.
