『Rubbish on the road』
目の前にあるゴミ、ありとあらゆる廃棄物、見て見ぬ振りをしている我々。
We see but pretend not to see rubbish and all sorts of waste.
This piece expresses this state of “the elephant in the room.”
大変な問題が起きているにも関わらず、皆が見て見ぬ振りをしている状況」という意味の慣用句、"Elephant in the room"から着想を得て、アスファルトの上にアスファルトで覆われ同化したゴミから植物が生えている彫刻作品を制作しました。
目の前にあるゴミ、ありとあらゆる廃棄物。
物事を見て見ぬ振りをしているとそれらは風景になり、当たり前となってゆく問題の現状を示しました。
