Description of the work
“Torncept-One Way”
When I think about the future, I imagine that every concept will become fragmented, diverse, complex, and vague over time. A one-way traffic sign that originally indicates a definite direction changes into an object indicating an uncertain target when torn and twisted. I tried to shape how something that was simple was broken down and intricately branched out. Therefore, I combined “torn (torn)” and “concept (concept)” to make this work “TORNCEPT.” And I would like to affirm this uncertainty as the very feeling of living in the present.

無意識になっている物事を違う角度で作品化する事により、鑑賞者の日常に良くも悪くも影響する表現を目指しています。 1989年 大阪府生まれ 2009年 美容師として渡米、渡英 2017年 京都造形芸術大学 総合造形コース 卒業 芸大卒業後、名和晃平さんのスタジオ"SANDWICH"の空きスペースを使用させて頂き、主に立体作品を制作しています。 小さい頃、イタズラ心で家の冷凍庫にアザラシの人形を入れ、開けて驚いた母は怒る事なく、20年以上経つ今でも実家の冷凍庫にはそのアザラシがいて、その時の快感がアーティストを志すきっかけである様に思います。
