作品详情
An installation work that reconfigures the world of Haku Kato’s poetry collection Tokyo White Night Flight through space and moving images. It is a portrait of contemporary Tokyo, depicting beauty and emptiness, longing and dependence, the desire for transformation and the pain of consumer society, as well as a faint yearning for salvation beyond them.
艺术家
Conceptual Artist
Born in Kanagawa, based in Tokyo.
Yudai Nakaya's practice begins with a sense of dissonance felt in the face of a single event. He re-describes that event from multiple perspectives—human, society, animal, plant, time, machine—and turns the gaps that emerge between these descriptions into works.
Each project is numbered as a "Case": one Case is a body of multiple descriptions surrounding one event. A Case is never complete; descriptions from new perspectives are added over time. As long as there are events in the world, the Cases will continue to grow.
