“ARTIZON”是由“ART”（艺术）与“HORIZON”（地平线）组合而成的新词，表达了希望让更多人感受先锋艺术划时代视野的这一愿望。新美术馆的理念是“体验创造力”。美术馆涵盖从古代美术、日本近代西洋画、印象派到20世纪美术乃至现代美术的作品。ARTIZON美术馆位于23层的“Museum Tower Kyobashi”大厦的低层，展厅共3层（4-6层），其面积约为旧美术馆的2倍，馆内配有最先进的照明设备与空调设备，可以为参观者提供多彩多姿的艺术体验。
