Work Details
In this work, I scanned a circular phase drawn with a brush, converted it into pixels based on that data, digitally adjusted the color and shape, and then hand-painted on canvas. It's not a good method if you only consider production efficiency as a painter, but in the modern age where digital data is mass-produced at zero cost, I thought I could find some meaning in the back-and-forth between digital and physical, and the artist's involvement in that process, so I created this work experimentally. According to one economist, the source of Bitcoin's value lies in the electricity bill. If mining costs support that value, by analogy, it may be possible to find value even in simple handwritten lines in painting. Bitcoin is now at a high price. The interpretation of the circle is left to the viewer. I would be happy if you could think a lot about whether what you see has value and what value is in the first place.
※This work is Edition 2, a circular work drawn with black dots on a silver background*Comes with a black frame (material: wood)
