Series: Marks

“Marks” is a series born from the marks of handwriting and paint left on canvas. The overlapping colors, texture, and rhythm of production remain on the screen. Instead of giving it a specific meaning, I created it as an abstract work that creates a casual accent in the space.

Marks #012: Against a deep, clear blue background, overlapping splashes of paint bring a light rhythm to the space. The vertical and horizontal lines and layers of color evoke the vibrations of light and life bouncing on the surface of the water. The lime green accent draws attention like a ray of light shining through the water and brings spaciousness and energy to the space.

Sense of size: F8 (455 x 380 mm) is an exquisite size that does not give a sense of pressure while giving off a strong enough presence with just one sheet when hung on the wall of a Japanese house.

Framing: In order to enhance the material feel of the work, a simple wooden temporary frame is surrounded by a simple wooden frame. It is designed so that you can display it as soon as it arrives.
