作品のコンセプト・制作意図
今回の展示は、京都新聞印刷工場跡の空間を活かし、新作インスタレーション 1 点と旧作 1 点《小向日葵》2021(音の作品)を展示します。元印刷工場であったこの場所から湧き上がる記憶や、今でもそ の場に漂うインクの香りは、私が小学生の頃、新しい教科書を手に入れたときに感じた強烈な印象と結 びついています。展示空間を単に構築するのではなく、むしろその感覚に刻まれた歴史そのものを含ん だ空間を通して、仮想と現実が交わり、目に見えないが歴史的かつ社会的な空間に関連する記憶が浮か び上がるような感覚を作り出すことを目指しています。
