おばけのプラクティス#44
私は額縁と絵画の関係性について再考し、再構築することをテーマに作品制作をしています。絵画を展示する際、必要とされる額縁が絵画との歴史的関係性が希薄なため図録などアーカイブからトリミングされてしまうことがしばしばある事から、額縁を「おばけ」と例えシリーズを展開しています。
《おばけのプラクティス》シリーズは、既存の歴史的な絵画を額縁に見立て、矩形に仕立て直した額縁の周りを装飾するように配置し《額縁と絵画を反転》させたシリーズです。額縁を先に選び、額縁にあった絵画を額縁に合わせトリミングしてあつらえています。
