おばけのパーフェクション#12
私は額縁と絵画の関係性について再考し、再構築することをテーマに作品制作をしています。絵画を展示する際、必要とされる額縁が絵画との歴史的関係性が希薄なため図録などアーカイブからトリミングされてしまうことがしばしばある事から、額縁を「おばけ」と例えシリーズを展開しています。
《おばけのパーフェクション》シリーズでは、額縁の肖像画の中に矩形に仕立て直した中古の額縁を設置し、《額縁のための絵画》を作っています。現実の額縁では持ち得ない2次元表現ならではの《ゆがみ》や《サイズ》を意識して特異的な額縁を制作しています。
