ギリシア神話に登場する怪物ミノタウロス。その全身骨格化石である。
ミノタウロスは、クレタ島の王妃とポセイドンが授けた雄牛との間に産まれた半人半牛の怪物である。クレタ島の宮殿の地下に造られた迷宮に閉じ込められた一生であった。
