"TRANSLUCENT" Series
This series reimagines waterproof abrasive paper—typically a tool used for polishing—as a canvas for painting. By combining Baku Maeda’s hand-drawn "pools of water" with the unique, organic textures formed during the drying process, the works achieve an aesthetic that is simultaneously "Yugen" (profoundly mysterious) and Pop.
