Work Details
The Judgement, 2026, 120 x 140 cm, Oil on linen (framed)
Set within a calm atmosphere that reflects the Fay’s inner state, Smith depicts the light of purity and the judge’s gavel balanced on the scales as symbols of social judgement and self-encouragement. These elements represent the Fay’s experience of navigating external expectations while maintaining inner strength and compassion toward herself, allowing her to find strength within and move forward through moments of uncertainty.

Aof Smith completed his Master of Fine Arts Program in Visual Arts, KMITL, Thailand in 2013 and has been based in Bangkok ever since. Smith creates a strange world in which disparate elements—such as lovable characters, artificial objects and waste, and themes with humor and irony—blend seamlessly, using fantasy to reveal the contradictions and fragility of society. He has become an artist at the forefront of the Thai art scene with his remarkable expression and originality.
