Work Details
Concept and production intention of the work
My work explores abstraction as a return to the simple act of seeing. By removing narrative and recognizable imagery, I allow color and form to exist freely, without fixed meaning.
Inspired by the early way a child experiences the world, I create paintings that are open spaces rather than representations. I focus on the relationship between color and form, inviting viewers to slow down and experience the work in a direct, personal, and sensory way.
What is “Kirinuki Series - Tsutawaru”?
Produced by cutting out part of the “main series.” We are constantly receiving information that has been cut out, and it is expressed that the way we see it completely changes depending on how it is cut.
