Work Details
Points of focus
The focus of this work is on the back rather than the kimono. There is a kind of “anger” between the white, glossy appearance of the back exposed to moonlight and the age difference between the characters.
Also, the background Oborozuki also appears to express the feelings of such a person.
“Age” is ignored for the facial parts of the person depicted in this picture. This is because setting it creates a stereotype on the viewer side. I think you can understand the meaning of this picture when the viewer's life experience and imagination overlap.
When viewed from the side. As for the background, the colors are simply arranged to make the person and kimono look good. Black is a water-based colored pencil, and the moon uses some oil-based colored pencils.
