Work Details
この作品の制作のきっかけはニューヨークのアートイベント会社ARTHOUSE.NYCの企画「HERO ART PROJECT」での制作依頼を受けて描いた人物画です。
この企画はアメリカでの新型コロナウイルスに自ら患いながらも診てきた医療従事者を様々なアートで讃えるという企画です。協力とインスタグラムサポートにニューヨークに本社を置くニューヨークライフ・インシュランスも関わっております。
さてこの絵についてはタイトル通りに「母親」。見た目は「老婆と孫」ですが幾つになれど「母親」の優しさを強調した絵にしました。構図としては提供された複数枚の写真を部分的に取り出して、抱かれている乳児は水彩色鉛筆で描いております。
技法的には艶出しの技法を使っております。
