Work Details
人はそれぞれに、
愛おしいと思う対象や夢中になれるもの、
できることが違うのかな、と思います。
その違いで誰かと結びつくことができるのならば、
人が不得意なことを責めたくないなと思います。
全然違った価値観の人がこの世界にいてくださるからこそ、
救われる心がたくさんある。それぞれの世界で光っている。
誰かとわかり合えない時、もどかしくもなるし怒ってしまう時もあるけれど、
それだけは忘れず覚えておきたい。そんな風に自分に言い聞かせます。
そしてそれは人の世界だけではなく、
（わたしの周りには、目に見えない存在を視たり感じたりされる方々もおられるので）
目に見えない存在だって、それぞれの場所で光っているのかもしれない、と思いました。
それはとても心強いことのような気がします。

Artist/Painter/Japan It gives shape to a life of “being there.” Mao Ando/Mao Ando I draw abstract paintings with “disentangling existence” as the main concept. The sense of longevity obtained from a deep sea-like world within oneself is expressed through lines, dots, colors, and shapes. I create while questioning every day what kind of ways it is possible to “dismiss” beings beyond words, ages, titles, etc.
