About the work
This work is part of a series created for the 2021 group exhibition "What Would I Do in That Situation?: The Drawers of Printmaking" (Geidai Art Plaza, Tokyo).
The series unfolds in the setting of an imaginary beach resort, where its own narrative gradually emerges.
This work depicts a scene in which the flower shop boys bring the bear back to its owner, a girl. While she is staying at a resort with another girl, one of the boys secretly brings along a bouquet of flowers he hopes to give her.
