In the process of growing up we absorb a lot of information. It becomes a way of protecting ourselves, like armor. And at some point, when we no longer need that armor, we begin the process of shedding it. I was always less capable than others and had less confidence in myself. So I took into myself a lot of common sense and knowledge that protected me. But little by little it suffocated me. What I chose were values created by whom and for what? When I shifted my consciousness to see the essence, I realized that I was wearing armor that I did not need. In this work, colors are layered on top of a photograph using digital technology to bring out a simple image. The process of layering colors and erasing everything but the essence of the image overlaps with my own, as if I had taken off my armor and returned to my childhood.
