Work Details
Paintings are a place of encounter with “fairies.” A “fairy” is not a so-called fairy in the West, but rather a more polystical entity, and it is a form of ancestral spirits and spirits that Japanese people have discovered in the mountains. It is also an imaginary concept called by Henry Corbin, and it is also an archetypal image that lives deep in our consciousness. I paint paintings in order to meet “fairies” and because I want to see them, and I express their peaceful place as a world in the picture. Also, I think coincidence , which is important in surrealism, is necessary in order to attract “fairies” into the picture.
