Work Details

Utopia No. 2

This work is different from the three-dimensional works that express hope flickering between light and shadow that I usually create, and was born from an impulse to release my suppressed fine senses.

This series depicts another world of shadows, derived from shining white sculptural works.

When I draw pictures, I like and use a lot of expressions that make use of chance as if randomly combining elements of various concepts and playing while composing on a screen.

An expression of something involving primitive and childish physicality before it was verbalized by reason.

As the number of such small scattered pictures is piled up one by one, two, it somehow starts to flow like a single story.

The production of paintings, which are in a different form from the usual three-dimensional works, has just begun.

I can't help but look forward to seeing what direction these little pictures will take in the future and what kind of world they will paint.

Just as three-dimensional elements have moved to a flat surface, the day will come when everything cultivated on a flat surface will one day be brought into three-dimensional modeling.

Similar to three-dimensional modeling, another institution has emerged where the work itself begins to circulate naturally.

This painting expresses the beauty and transience hidden in everyday life through minute and delicate changes in shade between white and black, transience, and emotional fluctuations caused by beauty.

I hope that viewers can enjoy a sensory exchange that transcends language through this work, which surpasses reason and is drawn with no heart.

(Technique) Collagrh

A collage using various materials, such as brass parts and pieces of wood from old watches, as plates. Since it is a technique that makes use of chance due to the combination of multiple editions, it is a one-of-a-kind work that is not reproducible or reproducible like a print.
