Work Details
The concept of the work “The Power of Life”
What I wanted to express in this work
Willpower and strength not to succumb to difficulties.
Thoughts put into the work and title
“Hand in the Void” is a work set in ruins based on blue.
It depicts how plants full of vitality grow powerfully in an inorganic, cool space with a sense of loneliness and emptiness.
This plant has eroded into the inorganic world as a symbol of hope, regeneration, and vitality,
It's bringing a breath of new life.
The plants growing from the ruined wall indicate that hope is not lost even in a hopeless environment.
While the ruins symbolize their former glory and current devastation, the plants that sprout within them embody hope for the future.
The appearance of plants that survive even when placed in a harsh environment expresses the strength of life that does not succumb to any difficulties, and makes me feel the power and possibility of regeneration.
Also, ruins symbolize natural destruction due to human activity,
Plants living in it suggest nature's regenerative power and the possibility of coexistence with humans.
Even if nature is destroyed, it has the power to revive again,
We will continue to live in a new form while inheriting past memories.
This shows that memories of the past do not fade away and are always linked to hope for the future.
Furthermore, plants growing out of ruins are also a symbol of creativity.
Plants that create new life from empty spaces tell us that they have the power to create something new in any situation.
Ruins are spaces that resist change, but the plants that grow from there show the importance of accepting change.
The importance of building a new future without fear of change is captured in this work.
Plants growing out of a barren land called ruins symbolize that they have limitless potential. Possibilities are always present in any environment, and it's important to believe in them.
The ruins suggest the end of life, but the plants growing in them represent the continuation of life.
The importance of moving forward without giving up on life in any difficult situation is conveyed through the strong growth of plants.
I hope this plant's hand symbolizes strength against any adversity and hope for the future, and will give courage and encouragement to many people.

photographers
2019/9 When she got married, she got rid of her job and set up a Shinya Deguchi photo office. At the same time, he began working as a digital art artist. Starting with portraits, they mainly shoot powerful subjects regardless of genre, and create digital art to accompany them. In recent years, we have provided digital art and photographs to the Japan Coast Guard and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, It will be the first digital art event for the Self-Defense Forces in 2023/7 “The mission of self-defense officers is to create with digital art. Self-Defense Forces Photo Exhibition” The first digital art-based photo exhibition since the Japan Coast Guard was founded “Rumoi Coast Guard Photo Exhibition” The event was held in cooperation. Also, as a contribution to the community, they volunteer to take pictures of local elementary school events and conduct business trip classes, etc. on photography. ~Art without borders~ Deguchi Shinya Photo Office transcends national and cultural boundaries, It focuses on creating empathy and understanding through photography and digital art. I have lived as a normal office worker until now, but due to the onset of depression due to marriage and work, I felt doubtful and bored of following the same path, values, and rails as others, and wanted to go on an adventure in a blank world where nothing was drawn like when I was a kid. What motivated me to work on digital art This is because I want to interweave my world with photographs, complete it as a single work, and release it to the world. Its driving force is power. “The power of the subject emitted from the photograph,” which is the core of production, is essential. Anyone can simply take a picture and output that photo if they have acquired the skills. However, the world I imagine can only be expressed by myself. Also, we only live once in a human life, and if we have an opportunity to express ourselves right in front of us, I think we should always do it. Through my work, I work to sublimate those thoughts, feelings, and thoughts as much as possible. What I want to convey through my work is that people with different backgrounds sympathize with through works that interweave all kinds of emotions, such as beautiful things, joy, challenge, and sorrow, We're focusing on connecting people. The group of works I create is a world where diversity coexists, and sometimes I depict extreme worldviews. Even the person making it has no idea what kind of thing will be completed in the end. The explanation about the work is nothing more than a supplementary explanation written by the producer, The true explanation lies in the minds of everyone who sees the work. [At the time of production] In digital art production, our office makes full use of digital synthesis and processing technology using PCs that I have acquired as a photographer until now. The image generation AI that has become a hot topic in recent years is not used at all. I believe that using image generation AI means losing against myself. There are no notable techniques worth mentioning, but I don't think the degree of perfection of the work will be affected by these differences. [Individual values and their reflection in the work] The work of our office clearly reflects the life experiences and values of Shinya Deguchi, who is the representative. I am particularly interested in human psychology, and I incorporate them into my work. [Focus on social and cultural issues] Our work focuses on social and cultural issues. I am interested in contemporary social issues, such as environmental issues and wars, and incorporate these themes into my work. [Future Prospects and Goals] Our firm will continue to pursue creativity and aim to create works that bring emotion and empathy to more people. It aims to cross borders and connect with people around the world and promote positive social change through art.
