Work Details
When I stayed in Shanghai as an artist in residence in 2019, I was strongly inspired by a thorough technology society full of speed and began production. Now that the proportion of digital is increasing in everyday life, I am interested in the conversion work carried out between tools. Using the motif of “light,” which connects another world constructed with online data and information, I am searching for new forms of expression as paintings.

Born in 1981 in Miyagi. Completed the master's program in oil painting techniques and materials research at Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Fine Arts. Since it is unique and there is little change over time, they are developing the “Iris” series drawn with a flat color surface using the iris of the eye used in authentication systems as a motif, and the “Light” series, which extracts part of that iris and takes on an abstraction, and questions the viewer about the relationship between individuals and the public and its essence. Major solo exhibitions in recent years include “Return to Seeing” (ContemporaryTokyo, Tokyo, 2024) and “ENCODE” (ContemporaryTokyoBeijing, Beijing, 2023). “Warm Current” for group exhibitions
There are (Powerlong Museum, Shanghai, 2022), etc.
As commission work in 2022, he was in charge of artwork and graphic design for UNIQLO's SUW (Sport Utility Wear) 2022 spring/summer global promotion.
