「between the curtains」はクラシックバレエや歌舞伎など、異なる身体表現文化の中にある共通点や共時性についてフォーカスしたものです。本作「#matinée」は舞台用語で昼公演を意味し、舞台に共通する幕から着想を得て、異なる身体表現の間にある膜自体（空気や栄養素、情報などを交換できる細胞膜のような半透明な膜）を描いています。

1990年生まれ。神戸大学発達科学部人間表現学科卒業後、同大学院博士前期課程人間発達環境学研究科人間表現専攻修了。即興性・非再現性を取り入れつつ制作される作品は、神話や儀式、伝承、風習といった人類固有のモチーフと接続されることで、偶然と必然、普遍と固有、矛盾する感覚が同時に成立する体験を探求しています。
