In response to the work
Women cannot sleep with the window open. As if it were the most ordinary thing in the world, girls are told, "It's dangerous for you. Close the windows and lock the door at night."
This work is a satirical exaggeration of that absurd, misogynistic social norm.
To sleep with the window open is to sleep with one eye open, a gun within reach, for only women.

Born in Tokyo in 1997. M.F.A. in Printmaking, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts.
Her practice centers on lithography, exploring feminism and interpersonal relationships. In recent years, she has expanded into drawing and comics, investigating new narrative possibilities across different forms of expression.
