Work Details
This series is a painting work drawn by expanding a line drawing that captures plants as outlines and masking a shape that has been reconstructed by cutting out a part of it.
Cut lines move away from their original role in representing plants, and change to elements constituting a new image created by the colors and shapes that stand up by peeling off the masking.
This work is based on a line drawing depicting a plant kobushi.
