Work Details
Painting as an unpredictable “play”
For me, painting is a trace of transformation where a fixed meaning unravels, and other possibilities are born from there and then disappear. Unlike words that give clear outlines, paintings present “something you don't understand” or “elusive” as it is.
For me, creation may be “play” where I look at the fluidity of a world that continues to change its appearance without meaning, and enjoy the unpredictable. It's the place before words were born — a place where the boundary between oneself and the world erodes, blends in, and is quietly open to the feeling that it flows into one another.
