“There's an amusement park at the top of that mountain. I was able to see the ferris wheel from here.”

I had the opportunity to stay and produce in Takeo City, Saga Prefecture, and did research on the region for a few days.

While talking with various people at the site, I heard from several people that there was an amusement park on the other side of the mountain in the past. Although I looked it up on the internet, I wasn't able to confirm specific information or photos about the amusement park. The characteristics that change with each person speaking are very vague, and I felt that the memories of the person in question were greatly reflected. I drew “something that was probably there” as if constructing a shape on the landscape that can be seen now.

The motif is drawn by coloring cotton cloth with acrylic paint and partially stitched with thread. The physically raised thread has a strong presence and draws attention as if the camera were in focus.
