Work Details
人は手の形や動きで何かを伝えたり、汲み取ったりしてコミュニケーションを取ることができる。肯定・否定の意思表示、立てる指で数を知らせることも、動物や花になることだってできる。
“言葉”ではないツールを使って、相手と会話ができたり、具体的なイメージが共有できた瞬間に起こる小さな火花が弾けるような嬉しさは、私と“誰か”にしか分からない共通言語が増えていくほど大きくなっていく。
綿布にアクリル絵の具で着彩し、部分的に糸で縫ってモチーフを描き上げています。物理的に盛り上がった糸には存在感が伴い、光の変化によっては様々な見せ方に変化させてくれます。

過去の記憶の断片や、その断片から想像するまだ見ぬ未来の景色を描く。時間の経過や積み重ねられる経験によって徐々に変化し曖昧になる記憶の輪郭を見つめ新しい色や形を与え直し、その像を定着させるように刺繍を施している。
