Installed opposite the triptych Twilight, or Dawn, White Bird marks a point of transition from personal remembrance toward a more universal and symbolic register of prayer.
Emerging through layers of white, the bird’s contour is stripped of specific narrative or doctrinal meaning. Rather than representing a religious allegory, it appears as a trans-cultural figure—an image formed from the residue of prayer itself.
After encountering works rooted in individual bodies and memories, the viewer meets this quiet image as a symbolic node: a distilled presence that gestures toward the cyclical structure of time, ritual, and collective belief that underpins the exhibition as a whole.
