● In addition to appreciating “Dressou Memories” alone, this work is a work where you can arrange appreciation methods such as · viewing side by side with the sister work “Dress - Hikaru” or by swapping the arrangement with the sister work “Dress - Hikaru” left and right. By swapping the left and right sides of the sister works, the continuous design changes. Please also see the other images.

● This work uses phosphorescent pigments.

If there is sufficient irradiation (indoor or natural light) for 15 minutes, part of the light (upper right arc) will be emitted for about 8 hours.

In an unlit environment, the light gradually starts to glow in the evening.

The light is strongest at night, and the light softens in the morning.

Nishizawa Naomi

Contemporary Japanese-Style Painting

Naomi Nishizawa creates “The Tale of the Second Moon,” a narrative born from her unique imagination.

She is a contemporary artist celebrated for her radiant and intricate compositions employing gold and metallic leaf. Rooted in the traditions of Japanese painting, she fuses diverse materials such as handmade washi paper, oil-based resin, and phosphorescent pigments to create a singular visual world.

Within her semi-abstract works, quiet imagined scenes are gently interwoven. These softly spun visions evoke moments from fairy tales and mythology, inviting viewers into a poetic narrative realm. Shimmering, reflective, and glowing materials function not only as decorative elements but also as gateways to dreamlike, multilayered worlds.

Since 2019, Nishizawa has exhibited in Japan and internationally, including Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Jakarta, steadily expanding her global recognition and acclaim. She was born in Tokyo, where she lives and works.
